Twitter is one of the major social networking sites. Twitter is a great tool for businesses that want to get the word out about their business. Twitter can also be used to keep tabs on what others are doing in their industry. Follow the steps below, on how to set-up a business twitter profile.
Step 1: Sign Up
Once you have navigated to Twitter, you must select the “Sign up for Twitter” button. Make sure you use your business email account when signing up. Click “Create my account” after you have entered all the required information.
Step 2: Follow people
You will then be directed to the welcome page. Click “Next” to begin to follow other users. Twitter will make you follow ten users. Once you have followed at least ten users, click “Next.” Be sure to follow accounts that are related to your business field, so you can always be updated within that industry.
Twitter will also direct you to add contacts from your email, however, for now, skip this step by clicking “Skip.”
Click “Next,” your account is now created!
Step 3: Edit Your Profile
Click “Edit Profile.”
Click “Upload image” to add a photo that relates to your business or the best option is to use your logo. That image now becomes your profile photo. Also, fill out a short biography of your business.
Next, upload a header photo. This will make your account more professional looking and will help personalize your profile.
After that, add your business location and your website (if you have one).
That’s it! Start by tweeting about your business and engage with customers and other individuals within your industry.
