Hello everyone! Happy Hump Day—you’ve made it half way!
Today I want to touch on the Do’s and Don’ts of the work place! Some are probably common sense, but I always find it nice to have a list to refer back to.
Do:
1. Keep a sweater at your desk at all times. Temperatures fluctuate in big buildings! Be prepared.
2. Keep extra makeup with you. You never know when a coworker will make you cry from laughter causing your eyeliner to run!
3. Wear comfortable shoes into and out of work and change into your professional kicks at your desk.
4. Keep gum or mints at your desk for post coffee/ lunch breaks.
5. Have a stick of deodorant on hand. You never know when those pre-meeting nervous sweats will get you!
Don’t:
1. Spray perfume at your desk. Especially in open environments like my current office, spraying perfume would probably not be appreciated by your neighboring coworkers.
2. Forget to change from your comfortable shoes to your professional ones as soon as you get to work. Nothing takes away from a great outfit like the wrong shoes.
3. Forget to spit out your gum before a meeting. Fresh breath is great, chomping like a horse—not so great.
4. Fix your makeup at your desk. Don’t let your boss catch you primping during valuable work hours. Take it to the bathroom ladies.
5. Forget your umbrella! Just don’t.
I know this was a short one, but I figure it should be straight forward! Just a reference list for us young professional women.
What are your sacred do’s and don’ts at work?
