Once you have at least part of your script done you can start the editing process. Now what I do i use Premiere Pro, as long as you have a non linear editing software you can follow along. If you have a clip, Preferably HD/HQ, you can drag it in and the software will automatically create a resolution based on the clips properties, then you can add in your music track. Now here’s where it all begins, there’s no easy way to describe it but once you’re in the program you just do what you want really, I usually edit in sections, I maybe do a verse, or a fourth of the song and work in breaks, Once i have that section of the clips in place, I usually go back and do some more trimming if needed, add some effects and transitions and whatnot. I recommend to save CONSTANTLY because you never know what might happen, then I just go through and do the same thing for the whole song. If you want to make a really eye-popping AMV, you need to take a lot of time on it, my most recent one took me about 2 months to complete and the one before that 4 months, Don’t be afraid to take your time and wait, Chances are most good videos have taken a lot of time to compete, unless of course they worked on it nonstop.
