Ways to replenish your body, mind and soul

I’ve been getting a little bit burnt out recently. I’m going to admit that this is partly because I don’t get enough time. But there’s another part of me that’s convinced that sleep can’t be the only reason I’m feeling like that. I’m asking for the sensation of waking up refreshed in the morning. I want to be clear-headed and ready to take the day off. Although I’ve been looking forward to this, I’ve been contemplating little adjustments that I can make to feel more nourished and renewed.

As someone who preaches about creating a balance between your mind, body, and spirit, I haven’t found a great balance lately. I might want to take some of my own advice to make sure I have this consistency in my life. Our wellness is not, at all, one-dimensional. I strongly agree that we ought to look at our health and well-being from a broad perspective. To find stability, we must nourish the three parts that make up our whole being: spirit, body, and soul. As I was brainstorming how to refresh these three places, I thought I’d share the ideas that I came up with. The target, of course, is not to do everything on this list. That’s only going to cause more overwhelm. Instead, I hope this will give you a few ideas to rejuvenate your entire self. If you need a breath of fresh air in your life, here are many ways to feed your mind, body, and soul!

Practice mindfulness is an effective practice to keep your life calmer. I notice that being conscious helps me to enjoy the small things that I would otherwise miss.If mindfulness feels like a challenge, make it simple with seven days of thoughtfulness.

Detox from technology. We still forget that there is a world outside the Internet. I’ve been focusing so hard on my laptop and phone recently, and I have the need to take a break and get away from it. It could be one day a week without opening my laptop or setting strong limits for technology-free time at night.

Try quieting your mind. It’s so important to keep your mind quiet to alleviate tension. If you’re writing all your thoughts on paper before bed or meditating in the morning, make it a practice to silence your mind at least once a day.

Diffuse essential oils. Essential oils can be great for stress relief. Even though I love essential oils, and I need more than one person rationally, I still forget to turn my diffuser on. I’m beginning to make this part of my morning and evening routine such that turning my diffuser on becomes a ritual.

Go get some fresh air. Whether it’s during the day or the weekend, enjoying some fresh air and Vitamin D is a perfect way to feel more refreshed. I want to go on a stroll in the middle of the day and get away from my to-do list and go back to work with a clear conscience.

Eat more veggies everyday with each meal. We all know we’re going to eat more vegetables, but really doing this is another matter. Try to find ways to slip veggies into your diet without making a huge deal about it. Put cauliflower or courgettes in your smoothies, snack on carrots and hummus, or press some lemon juice onto plain vegetables to make them more exciting. Often, select meals in restaurants that include vegetables or inquire for them on the table.

Nourish your skin. Treatment about the skin is an essential aspect of self-care. Not only can it improve your body, a skincare ritual will give you time to relax and unwind at the end of the day. I want to stick to a simple and soothing everyday skincare regimen to make sure I don’t miss any crucial steps.
