March 1st, 2025 – Last day to apply for The Washington Center

This is the last day to apply for an internship through The Washington Center. If you apply after this date, Dr. Lenze will not approve the internship. Application is due by 11:59 pm.

November 15th, 2025 – Deadline to apply for graduation in May.

April 1st, 2026 – Last day to be placed at The Washington Center

Students not placed on a site with The Washington Center by April 1st are recommended to look for other internship opportunities.

April 15, 2026 – Last day to apply for all internships 

This is the last day you may submit a site offer form and student data sheet for any internship. Paperwork is due by 11:59 pm.

April 16th, 2026 – Deadline to confirm your attendance for walking in May’s University Commencement Ceremony

Last week of April, 2026 –  May 5, 2026  – Registration for Internships Opens

You will be notified by email when you are able to register for your internship credits and the CRN# for your section will be included in that email. Don’t pester the internship coordinator.

May 11, 2026

The earliest day to begin your internship.

May 18, 2025

Earliest day to begin your internship if you have close to or below a 2.0 during the Spring semester. This is necessary to verify your spring grades were high enough to meet the 2.0 or higher GPA prerequisite.

June 1, 2025

Last possible date to start the internship and still have enough time to complete the 360 hours (undergraduate requirement) before the end of the summer term. You are strongly warned to start your internship well before this date to provide yourself with national holidays, site holidays (if any), sick days, and personal days (if provided by your internship site). This only works if you document 40 hours of working on your course materials outside of your 40-hour workweek.

August 7, 2026

End of the summer term. Internship hours must be completed by this date.
