If you are having difficulty finding an internship, you should absolutely meet with Dr. Lenze as soon as possible! But, are there alternatives to the internship requirement?

Yes! You could change your major to Media Studies instead of News Media, Media Production, or Media Marketing. The Media Studies major allows you to take 9 credits of 300 level or higher courses in place of the internship. The department is offering the following courses this summer that are 300 level or higher.

COMM 315: Persuasive Media Writing
COMM 471: Advanced Image Editing
COMM 477: Freelancing & Entrepreneurship in Media Communications
