As a college student at a PWI, I am most likely always the black sheep in most of my classes. Let alone I am constantly studying and thinking about my future. It can sometimes get hard being the black sheep, your professors challenge you more, you sometimes get hit with racial slurs by students, sometimes you have thoughts that you are not doing a good enough job and you have to work ten times harder. I refuse to let anyone bring me down no matter how hard I try. I have the ball in my court and I have to shoot it in the right direction to score. My blog will offer poems on melanin women, research based on melanin women in IT, Tech, or Coding throughout the US. In order to educate college students, young women and myself on how there are other melanin women struggling with coding or finding their dream job due to the color for their skin.
