BUILDING COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Hey, what’s up everyone, welcome to
Movement Marketing!
Today I will break down how to improve
your communication skills
First, it’s important to know your audience
When speaking or giving a message to
your audience, you have to tailor your
message accordingly to your audience.
At the workplace, you’ll find people
from different countries,
nationalities, education levels and
cultures.
To get all of your ideas across to
such a diverse group, it helps to know
the medium that works best when
communicating. Whether that through
online or vocally.
This brings us into verbal
Communication
With verbal communication, it takes
practice to learn the etiquette and
rules to speak effectively.
but with these few tips, your verbal
skills will be elevated
Okay so first off, it is really
important to think about what you want
to say before you say it. I cannot say this enough, because
once you say anything. It’s out there
and you can’t get it back.
Now let’s move on to the next critical
aspect in communication other than
speaking. Listening. I know crazy
right. Within communicating many people are
always very focused on what they will
say next. Instead of taking a step
back and listening to the people that
are in front of them.
When communicating to a community it
is very important that those voices
and opinions can be heard. So then, that community will always be
on the same page.
Finally, the last factor for
communication skills. Is understanding
your different channels of
communication.
When constantly communicating with a
community, the channels of
communication will be needed to keep
everyone in touch.
The channels go from speaking, emails,
social media, and etc. So, it is
critical when you use words that could
have dual meanings
The tone of your voice or you’re written
communications may send a different
message than what you intend. Be aware
of how you sound vocally and online.
Remember your manners and just be
polite.
