Biography

My name is Seth Davis and I am a Communications Media major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Since the age of 5, I have been a Philadelphia Eagles fan. This has been a curious road to be on as I live in Pittsburgh Steeler country, but as it is still a Pennsylvania team, I haven’t been too harassed. At least I didn’t try to be a Cowboys fan…

I was born with a lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis a genetic lung disease. Due to this I have been very active in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I am the team leader for my own team called Seth’s Striders. I coordinate the yearly walk and acquire donations which funds research and advances in the medical field for people who have CF. My disease may prevent me from participating in the sports I love, but I have found a new way to participate through sports media.

In the winter of 2016 I started to talk sports on IUP’s own radio talk show Sports Talk Live. This was where I really started to fall in love with sports media. I was recently promoted to host of STL and will be beginning this promotion with the start of the fall 2018 semester.

My current job is working as a lab technician at IUP. My basic duties are making sure the computers don’t get damaged and making sure the printers work correctly which are important necessities for college students.

In terms of being active I am the captain for a YMCA flag football team. It’s a fun experience: building a team and competing with friends. I also lift regularly which I started to help with my physical wellness but have grown to enjoy as well.
