President Donald Trump was recently voted to be impeached by the House of Representatives on December 18th, 2019. This comes as no shock because of the actions Donald Trump made. Donald Trump was elected President in November 2016. This is an important topic because we are living history with this impeachment.
America is frustrated with Donald Trump for numerous reasons. In 2018, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved $1.6 billion for 65 miles of border fencing by an overwhelming vote. Instead of taking the deal, Trump shut down the government and demanded $5.7 billion. He ended up with less than $1.38 billion than he would have if he had just gone along with the bipartisan deal. He also put Mexican’s in concentration camps. He separated kids from their families. He was considered a racist because he did not want Mexicans to come across the border and live a better life in the United States. People claimed Donald Trump abused his power as President of the United States. According to (CarolinaPublicPress.org) “This is about national security and our elections. This president, since the day he took the oath of office, has demonstrated that he feels he’s above the law. We’re going to make it clear that the president must comply with all the subpoenas and deposition notices to find the truth.”
The House of Representatives voted to impeach Donald Trump. There will be an election of a new President in 2020. With all the bad Donald Trump has done people might get their wish in 2020. His wish was to make “America Great Again “ but he destroyed it. But there are people in the country that love Donald Trump so he might remain President.
I believe Donald Trump should have been impeached. I believe he should have been impeached because he has caused so many deaths. The racist acts he created is abusing power. He also stated that “This country is full”. Which is harsh because he doesn’t want to help other people from different places achieve success in America. This is supposed to be the land of opportunity.
