Personal Brand Logo

Trying to design a logo for your personal brand? I know it can be a struggle to try and create something that describes yourself. I like to think literally first (as in objects and colors that relate to me) and then morph it into something more abstract. I think this way because that’s how I have been taught since my freshman year of college.

Personally, when designing I love my work to be clean, modern and simple. As you noticed, my logo follows these guidelines. Another tip is to change your logo as popular styles change. I tend to change mine based on new trends that I like. I really like for my logo to describe who I am and what I like. I also feel it is important for your logo to be appealing to your audience, especially if it is on your resume.

Take time to think out your logo, never rush to create it. It is better to take a long time and have a nice, clean outcome than rush and have a mediocre one. Use websites like Pinterest for inspiration, but remember to never copy someone else’s work.

Start by sketching out ideas on paper. Once you have a solid idea, color it in with markers, pencils, etc. Next, use a digital program like Illustrator to make it come to life!

Start creating your own logo today! It is easy and will help you have more authority in the creative (and competitive) job industry.
