Day in The Life

What does a day in the life of a college athlete look like in quarantine? This may or may not be something that people wonder, but I know that I love looking into what other people do to fill their days. My mornings usually start at 6:00 am with a cup of coffee and some readings. I like to start my day with the bible and a daily devotional because it gets me feeling positive.  Afterwards, I usually do a workout whether it is a basketball shooting workout or I will do a lift. I like to start my mornings with a workout because it makes me feel good and fresh for the day. I then make myself a breakfast in which usually consists of a protein smoothie or eggs. I like something high in protein to replenish after my workouts to recover my muscles. By this time, it is about 8:00 so I quickly shower then head to work where I babysit two adorable kids. I am babysitting from 9:00 am to about 3:00 pm then come home and do another workout. Either lifting or basketball depending on what I do in the morning. From there I have a post workout snack of my go to which is an apple with peanut or almond butter. I then usually relax or do some of my summer course work which takes me until dinner. If I am being honest, I am one of the only people in my family that cooks dinner, so I usually make a healthy option for myself and my mom then something for the boys. After dinner I relax with my family by watching tv or finishing up work again. Then I head to bed at 9:30 because over the summer I realized how important my sleep is. I am going from 6:00 am so I need to get a good 8 hours of sleep in order to have energy and give my body time to heal. This is honestly what a typical day in my life has looked like and I have been enjoying and working hard this whole time.
