On behalf of Multicultural Affairs & Student Success (MASS) and The Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement (MCSLE), you are invited to attend The Defamation Experience. It is a dramatic stage performance about a court case that will explore race, class, religion and gender and in the end the audience decides if the defendant is guilty or innocent. A large group discussion will then be facilitated by a member of the defamation team.
Considering the racial tensions occurring nationally and IUP’s current campus climate, this topic is more relevant than ever.
Attendance vouchers will be available to students. We respectfully request that faculty consider this event an educational opportunity and constructively use the vouchers to encourage students to attend.
The Defamation Experience is on October 3, 2017, at 7:00pm, in Gorell Recital Hall, located on the 2nd floor of Sutton Hall. Doors will open at 6:00pm.
