Oct. 10th the Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Programs and the MARTI-CBH Institute are hosting a live stream of Sam Quinones presentation on his book “Dreamland”. Attendance vouchers will be available for those who wish to assign this as extra credit. A panel discussion will follow the live stream. It starts at 6pm in Stouffer Auditorium.
Sam Quinones is a highly sought after speaker whose book “Dreamland” chronicles the rise of the current opioid crisis, including the part the pharmaceutical companies may have played, and the role of particular Mexican drug cartels. It was an Amazon Best Book of 2015. A local panel of experts will discuss the presentation immediately after the live stream.
