About the internship: ERIE’s internships are paid, competitive, & available in many disciplines. The McNair Scholars Program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities.

McNair participants are either first-generation college students with financial need, or members of a group that is traditionally underrepresented in graduate education and have demonstrated strong academic potential. The goal of the McNair Scholars Program is to increase graduate degree awards for students from underrepresented segments of society.

 

 

Community Service Opportunity- Donation Collection for Women’s Homeless Shelters

Honors College student Carl Wells is leading a donation drive to collection feminine hygiene

products for women in homeless shelters. It is an initiative sponsored by DoSomething.org in

conjunction with the U by Kotex brand. The drive is still in its early stages, but

it will be held until Oct. 31st.While the drive is in progress, there will be collection

points (TBD) where individuals can donate unopened boxes of feminine hygiene products.

In addition to donating, you can earn volunteer hours by assisting Carl Wells in placing

collection points around campus and helping write advertisements in chalk on university

sidewalks.
