Deadline for IUP Undergraduate Scholars Forum Approaching

The
deadline for students to submit proposals for IUP’s Seventh Annual Undergraduate
Scholars Forum will be 5pm Friday
February 24,
2012
. The event itself will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.  We
hope that members of the IUP community will encourage students to submit their
work to the Forum. Remember that all proposals must have a faculty
sponsor.

The
purpose of this conference is to provide IUP undergraduate students across all
disciplines with an opportunity for professional development by presenting their
original research, scholarly activities, teacher work samples, or creative
works. A variety of presentation formats are available, including individual and
group oral presentations, discussion panels, poster sessions and arts
presentations. Faculty members are asked to be selective. Thus, if you assign a
project in class with the intent of having students present their work at the
USF, please select only those of the highest quality for submission to the
Forum.

Submissions
are accepted from ALL undergraduate students at IUP who demonstrate outstanding
accomplishment in scholarly activity within their discipline.
Students who graduated from undergraduate programs in
December are eligible to submit a proposal to the forum as long as they are able
to attend the event and present their work.

The call
for submissions is available now at
