3rd Annual Edinboro University of PA History, Anthropology, and World Languages Conference

The E.U.P.
History, Anthropology, and World Languages Department invites graduate and
undergraduate students at all levels to submit proposals for its 3rd
Annual Conference on Saturday April 14,
2012.
The conference committee is seeking papers
and panels from interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary perspectives that
investigate the actions, influences, and phenomena that have formed American
society and how we think about America’s past.

Paper/panel
topics can come from a number of disciplines, such as history, world cultures, anthropology,
sociology, political science, and world languages. Though
submissions may approach American culture from a variety of directions, papers can
come from any field in the social sciences or world languages.
We seek
the participation of graduate and undergraduate students who represent a broad
range of disciplinary and methodological approaches.

Individual paper
proposals should include a 300-word abstract; title of the paper; author contact
information; and brief curriculum vitae. The organizers of complete panel
sessions should submit 300-word abstracts for each individual paper in the
panel; curriculum vitae for each of the presenters; 200-word description of the
panel session; and the contact information for all those
participating in the panel. If any audio-visual equipment is needed, please
indicate so.

The submission deadline for proposals is March
15, 2012.
All conference participants are required to pay the $35
conference registration fee. Payments can be made in the form of a check or
money order.

Please submit proposals by e-mail to Y’hoshua R. Murray: eup.hawl.conf@gmail.com
