Thank you for your interest in the IUP Women’s Leadership Awards!
Award recipients are selected for their outstanding campus leadership
experience, academic excellence, and community achievements.
Women are chosen for this honor by the Selection Committee according
to their cumulative grade point average, the nominating reference, and
the information submitted on the application. All applications are to be
returned to the Center for Student Life, 303 Pratt Hall, by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011.
Undergraduate Women:
Qualifications for the undergraduate award include the following:
- Freshman, sophomore, or junior
- Up to three undergraduate students will be selected for the
Pennsylvania SSHE Consortium Award and invited to attend the Women’s
Leadership Institute - One undergraduate student will be selected for the NEW Leadership
Award and invited to attend the New Leadership Pennsylvania Institute - Strong academic achievement
- Candidates will be judged on cocurricular activity, community service, and leadership skills
- Have at least one year left at IUP
IUP Undergraduate Leadership Award
Senior/Graduate Women
Qualifications for the IUP Senior and Graduate Award include the following:
- At least one senior and one graduate student will be selected
- Senior or graduate student
- Strong academic achievement
- Candidates will be judged on cocurricular activity, community service, and leadership definition
