Pittsburgh Federal Career Day 2010 – November 16, 2010

Are you thinking about a possible career in Government? Want to learn more about internships, fellowships, full time employment and more? If so, then please join us for the 9th Annual Pittsburgh Federal Career Fair (www.duq.edu/fedcareerday) with more than 60 federal, state and local government agencies represented. This event features:

a. a job fair
b. keynote speaker,
c. breakout workshops on the job-search process
d. information sessions by select federal, state and city agencies

Duquesne University will be hosting the Federal Career Day 2010 on 
Tuesday, November 16 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Power Center (Student Union-Fourth Floor) Ballroom, on the corner of Forbes Avenue and Chatham Square.  This event is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

but pre-registration is not required.  In addition to these events, please consider applying for a seat for our Networking Breakfast:

Networking Breakfast
This exclusive event will provide you the opportunity to have breakfast with top representatives from government agencies from around the country.  The breakfast begins at 9 a.m.  Seats for this extraordinary event are limited, so apply early.
 

To Apply:
Send a 1 – 2 paragraph statement of interesting including your areas of interest and why you would like to pursue a career in federal, state or local government.

a. Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University Students:  Please contact your respective Career Services Department to determine where to send your application.

b. All other interested parties, please send your letter to Michelle Boehm at boehmm@duq.edu.

c. Registration for the Networking Breakfast will be open to Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, and University of Pittsburgh students until October 29, after which time all interested parties may apply.

Who will attend the Breakfast?
Government recruiters from federal, state and city agencies from across  the U.S. and over 150 student leaders from Pittsburgh’s top universities and graduate schools.
