On Monday afternoon XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was fatally shot and killed attempting to leave RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Since then, police reports have been released public. In those reports police say that XXXTentacion had been shot after being approached by “two armed suspects in an apparent robbery.” The get away vehicle was also id’d as a “dark-color SUV” by witnesses. With the help of witnesses and surveillance an arrest was able to be made. Dedrick D. Williams was taken into custody in Pompano Beach, Florida on Wednesday under charges including first-degree murder and driving without a valid license. In addition to those charges Williams was also charged with a probation violation that was related to a motor vehicle theft. Williams is also from Florida and was a local tattoo artist. The 22-year-old was apprehended after it was reported that he had posted a video of XXXTentacion on instagram just a few minutes before the shooting occurred, and on Wednesday he ironically made another post on his Facebook that read “Don’t piss me off u will never know wats next,”. Early this morning Dedrick Williams appeared in court to hear his charges, and is being held without bond due to probable cause. Normally in cases like these the killer goes free. A suspect is rarely sought out. Let alone in only 48 hours. Violence in today’s society is a major problem, but the “no snitching” phenomena is a bigger one. However, this case showed to be different, and hopefully it will enable others to come forward in future crimes. I sure hope it does. Everyone deserves justice and in situations like these the chances of that ever happening are very slim if witnesses are sacred to come forward and speak up. I am glad to say that this time, a family will receive closure. I’m sure the people would like to leave their two cents on the matter as well, so do send this thread and circulate the CURRENT-cy.
