Madeline did a remix project involving something near and dear to my heart, food. Several people in my family were chefs and pastry chefs so I found her project to be very exciting and very interesting. I enjoyed the creativity that was put into this project and I thought it was a great idea. She took small things mentioned in the books, like the jam tarts she brought in. Those cookies are said to be Ron’s favorite treat and it is only briefly mentioned in the book and depicted in the movie in a minor way. She definitely gave the project thought and she put in a lot of work. She hand wrote the recipes she chose and she even baked one to share with the class. I also like that she took traditional British recipes and picked ones that were easy enough to make and share with us, it was a great way to get the class to interact. People had a lot of questions for her about some of the recipes and she had an answer for them which once again shows that she definitely came prepared to talk about her project in depth. I absolutely loved it and I’m glad she had such an original idea.
