Where are the best places to promote

01/08/2020 - Uncategorized

Knowing where to promote your work is something a lot of people may think they know, but there is more to it than just posting. You must know the ups and downs of the places where you try to promote yourself, your business or your organization. The promotions are a self-reflection of your work and you need to make sure you can reach the audience the promotions intended for. People often promote on social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. You have other places you can promote events such as GroupMe or Messages.
You must be careful when promoting on social media because there are some things you cannot post just like I said in a previous post. Social media is also useful because it helps to see what other people have to go on as well. That makes planning things easier and it also lets other people and organizations know that something is going on that same day. Some people honestly won’t care and still plan something anyway, but at least that will also give you a heads up because you will know when they begin to promote it as well.
I typically use Instagram, Snapchat, and GroupMe to send out flyers and spread the word about events. I use Instagram to promote all types of things because people can spread the news faster through there since most of the news travels fast through there. I use Snapchat occasionally to reach people that I may not have on other social sites because I can honestly just forget that I have contact with some people. GroupMe is used more so for people in my organization whenever we need to get in reach with each other faster. Messages are more for when I need to get reach with someone personally because I may not have them on social media and want to make sure that they are aware of what is going on.
If you are trying to start doing a lot of self-promoting, understanding where and how to do it is what really will determine how much traffic is generated to that promotion. There are things that you should know like what time, who are people who typically see your promotions, and what kind of promotions attract more attention. Social media is a great tool to use for beginning your promotions but making sure you handle the upkeep is how you will thrive. You need to have consistency and make sure that you are showing something that will grab people’s attention since they see so much going on with each platform as they are scrolling through countless videos and pictures every day.
