The Thomas Merton Center seeks interns to support our work organizing for peace, human rights, and economic, environmental, and racial justice. Since 1972, we have served as a resource center for grassroots activists in Pittsburgh. We’re a member-funded organization working for radical change. - Join a coalition of people working toward the divestment of fossil-fuels on the city level.
- Work to stop the deportation of a beloved father and community member.
Write for our social justice newspaper. - Raise awareness and advocate around issues of mass incarceration and life sentences.
- Get experience planning events, fundraisers, protests and potlucks.
Various projects to get involved in: School of the Americas Watch, Anti-War/Anti-Drone Committee, Environmental Justice, mapping the power elite in Pittsburgh, Fight for Lifers West, Stop Sexual Assault in the Military and so many more!
