Title IX Training (Required Year of Internship)

TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS, STUDENT LEADERS, AND STUDENT INTERNS/FIELD EXPERIENCES:

All university-related volunteers must also complete annual Title IX and Protection of Minors training. Student leaders and students participating in internships/practicums/clinical experiences/student teaching, and other notified individuals and groups may be required—and are highly encouraged—to complete the training. (This would encompass individuals and groups not entered into SAP through payroll or other means.)

If you are in this category and have been directed to this site, you are now able to access your required training through the links below. These trainings have been created through Qualtrics, and a certificate of completion can be generated for your personal records. In order to meet the requirement, you will need to complete both of the training modules. Once finished, please direct any questions about the training material to title-ix@iup.edu.

PROTECTION OF MINORS TRAINING

  • For non-paid individuals and groups only

TITLE IX SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE TRAINING

  • For non-paid individuals and groups only

Note: The above training links are not to be used as an alternative for the annual mandatory training for employees and university affiliates/contractors/units/centers, who receive their training access through individual e-mails from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Completion through that process is the only accepted method to fulfill their requirement.

RESOURCES AND FURTHER INFORMATION:

Once you have completed both trainings through either method—State System e-mail access links or Qualtrics training links—please download (pdf) and keep the 2017–18 Where to Turn for Help and Title IX Brochure as a reference.
