Accomplishment Opportunity

The Buffalo Broadcasters Association’s Tim Russert Media Career Award for college students is being given again this year. The deadline is two weeks away: September 15, 2022.

The award was named for Buffalo native and host of NBC’s Meet the Press Tim Russert, who died in 2007.

The award has been offered annually for 15 years to an exceptional student with an impressive body of work and showing dedication to a career in broadcast journalism. The criteria were expanded in recent years to include students heading toward careers involving podcasting, animation, music video creation and other areas of digital media.

The successful applicant will be given $1,000 and be presented with the award at the BBA’s Hall of Fame festivities later in September.

Please check out the award’s site for more information and forward the link to any student you think may be eligible: https://buffalobroadcasters.com/educational-outreach/tim-russert-media-career-award/
