Students in the internship will learn how to work all of the major studio facilities on IUP’s campus and expected to fill in on audio, video, radio, and graphics projects. This experience is realistic to a production field job and is highly collaborative. We produce content in all areas of the communications field including department promotional materials, shows for IUP-TV and WIUP-FM, and projects for the community. Students will be able to leave with multiple productions for their resume, possible references from inside and outside of the department, and realistic work experience.

Trying to build your portfolio? Mercersburg Summer Programs is looking for vivacious and talented individuals
with a self-starter mentality. This is an onsite position for the whole summer. General requirements are below
as well as directions to obtain more information or to submit your portfolio for the position (with at least 3
relevant pieces of work and a cover letter).
Responsibilities and Duties
● Produce marketing-specific imagery based on shot list.
● Document daily experience in order for participants and families to have constant updates.
● Blogging and communications on the Mercersburg Summer Programs website
( and Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
● Organization of all files on Vidigami and external Hard Drives.
● Assistance with imagery for marketing pieces and campaigns.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate is thoughtful, articulate and passionate about the mission of summer programming at
Mercersburg Academy. This position requires individuals who communicate effectively and take initiative.
● Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with children in building self-esteem and

Minimum Qualifications
● 2 years of education or prior experience shooting and editing photos, both inside and outside.

● Ingenuity and Inventiveness, capable of thinking on one’s feet and adapting to changes in scheduling.
● The maturity of judgment and character.
● The capability of handling multiple responsibilities and assignments.
● 21 years of age or older and possess a valid US driver’s license and clean driving history.
