The Washington Center (Time is Running Out)

The priority deadline for application to The Washington Center is February 21.  This deadline represents the cut off for consideration of private, competitive scholarships offered by TWC to all applicants.  Additionally, all PA students are awarded a $7500 scholarship, guaranteed on a first come, first served basis until the scholarships are depleted.

Students who attend TWC are given a tuition and fees waiver.  The cost for a PA resident student for this summer is $4,340, which includes housing and utilities.  Apartments are fully furnished, so all a student needs to bring with them are their towels, bed linens, clothing, and a computer.

Please pass this information along to your students, and ask them to schedule an appointment with me if they are interested in learning more.  They can also check out TWC on their website www.twc.edu.  If you would like program guides, just let me know and I will get them to you.

Have a great day!

Photography Internship in Greensburg/Pittsburgh Area

The past 2 years we’ve had summer interns from IUP.  We are once again looking for 1-2 summer and/or fall interns.
Just like in the past, the actual field work they do with us is paid. The sooner we get someone lined up the more opportunities are available. Right now I haven’t scheduled any photo assistants past April trying to keep May and beyond open should we get a summer intern.
If you have anyone in mind that might be interested, we’d love to hear from them!

New Improved Internship Checklist

We have added a new and improved internship checklist to the COMMINTERNS website. Please visit it and click on Checklist from the main menu. You will see the nine steps for finding and completing the internship. These steps include all of the necessary forms and the order in which they should be completed.

Several of you have stopped by and asked me how to go about getting an internship. This checklist should go a long way toward helping you! I’m still here to help so stop by!
