Spring Career Fair

Good afternoon!

We’re writing to remind you of the IUP Spring Career Fair scheduled for Tuesday, 28 February 2017 in the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex from 10 AM until 2 PM, which as of today has 96 employers registered to attend, the highest number we’ve ever had at IUP!

This fair provides an opportunity for students and alumni to explore full-time and part-time job and internship opportunities with a large variety of organizations, including criminology, healthcare, government, education, summer camps, safety, accounting and public service.  Please see the attached list of participating employers and organizations attending the fair and the types of positions they have available.

We recognize that you know the importance of student participation. Without the students, the employers will stop making the trip to IUP to recruit on campus. Students surveyed in previous career fairs have cited notification from their faculty as one of the primary reasons they attend. Please encourage your students to participate in the career fair, or if it works with your class schedule, assign them to attend or come to the fair as a class. Attendance vouchers will be available for students who attend the fair as part of a classroom assignment.

All majors and class levels are invited, and business or business casual attire is appropriate. Students are encouraged to visit the Career and Professional Development Center in Pratt 302 to meet with a career coach and update their resume. Drop-in Hours are held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00-6:30 PM — students can stop by without an appointment to have their resume reviewed or to ask a quick career-related question.

Please contact 724.357.2235 if you have any questions.

Thanks and have an enjoyable afternoon and evening!
